Pass me not, O gentle Savior

1
Pass me not, O gentle Savior,
  Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
  Do not pass me by.

Savior, Savior,
  Hear my humble cry;
While on others Thou art calling,
    Do not pass me by.
2
Let me at Thy throne of mercy
  Find a sweet relief;
Kneeling there in deep contrition,
  Help my unbelief.
3
Trusting only in Thy merit,
  Would I seek Thy face;
Heal my wounded, broken spirit,
  Save me by Thy grace.
4
Thou the spring of all my comfort,
  More than life to me;
Whom have I on earth beside Thee?
  Whom in heaven but Thee?

I dreamed last night that I was at an old fashioned hymn sing and this song was the final congregational hymn. Hadn't heard this song in over 30 years, so had to look up the lyrics. I'm amazed at how many others have recently been prompted by the Spirit and led to this site. Surely the Lord is calling His people to repentance. Many are called, but few are chosen. May we find mercy in His sight.

What a great memory, this use to be my every day worship song 15 years ago, when waiting in the Lord and l was blessed by Almighty God, all glory to Jesus.

Thank You Jesus.

I sing this song as a believer in the past tense and personally to Jesus. You will get the gist.

Passed me not O Gentle Savior

Heard my humble cry

While on others you were calling

Did not pass me by

Jesus, Savior,

Heard my humble cry

While on others you were calling

Did not pass me by.

Here I at your throne of mercy

Found a sweet relief

Kneeling there in deep contrition

Cured my unbelief

I sing it slow, and the vision of Jesus I get moves me every time. A very beautiful sweet merciful Jesus is portrayed here.
