Having intercede for my family this song came into my mind. I had to look at the lyrics because I couldn't find it in my hymnal.

Jesus met me in my quiet time this morning while reading Matthew 20:29-34 about the two blind men who cry out, Have mercy on us! In reading the text we see:
Jesus passed by,

Jesus had compassion.
As I pondered these things about my Lord Jesus, I began to sing this wonderful hymn to His glory and grace!

I dreamed last night that I was at an old fashioned hymn sing and this song was the final congregational hymn. Hadn't heard this song in over 30 years, so had to look up the lyrics. I'm amazed at how many others have recently been prompted by the Spirit and led to this site. Surely the Lord is calling His people to repentance. Many are called, but few are chosen. May we find mercy in His sight.
