This hymn has encouraged me so much, especially when I want to minister the word of God to people. Some times the devil wants to instil fear in me, this song will lift me to a state of fearlessness. Thank God for the composer.

In spite of all I may be passing through, this song always gives me a lot of courage to move on in my pilgrim's journey. It's so inspiring. As l listen to this beautiful piece of music, it brings me back to the days when I used to worship in the little country church in the island of Jamaica. Oh this wonderful hymn was a blessing then and is still blessing me. Thank God for the writer who was inspired by the Holy Spirit to bless so many thousands of people over the years.

A good way for me to end my day and be at rest as I lay me down to Sleep, knowing HE has me & mine sorted out on Higher Ground as I wake up in the morning.

I had a minor setback yesterday in an area in which God has been dealing with me. I went to sleep a bit discouraged, but awakened with this wonderful hymn in my spirit. It encouraged me to "press on to higher ground."
