This song was my precious Grandpa’s favorite hymn, and we sang it at his funeral. I can never sing it without shedding tears. Tears because I miss him so much, tears because I’m grateful that he was a wonderful Christ-like example in my life and left a wonderful legacy for our family. Imagining my Gramps exchanging his old rugged cross for a crown brings me comfort. I look forward to my reunion with him someday!
