Trust and obey

1
When we walk with the Lord
  In the light of His Word,
What a glory He sheds on our way;
  While we do His good will,
  He abides with us still,
And with all who will trust and obey.
  Trust and obey,
For there’s no other way
To be happy in Jesus,
  But to trust and obey.
2
Not a shadow can rise,
  Not a cloud in the skies,
But His smile quickly drives it away;
  Not a doubt or a fear,
  Not a sigh or a tear,
Can abide while we trust and obey.
3
Not a burden we bear,
  Not a sorrow we share,
But our toil He doth richly repay;
  Not a grief or a loss,
  Not a frown or a cross,
But is blest if we trust and obey.
4
But we never can prove
  The delights of His love,
Until all on the altar we lay;
  For the favor He shows,
  And the joy He bestows,
Are for them who will trust and obey.
5
Then in fellowship sweet
  We will sit at His feet,
Or we’ll walk by His side in the way;
  What He says we will do;
  Where He sends, we will go,
Never fear, only trust and obey.

I am again evangelised upon hear those words knowing that that is all the Lord asks of His family of believers. Would you join us in the joy of His love?

I woke up singing the chorus of this song this morning that I sung as child. Trust and obey for there's no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. Simple right? Yes. I hear You Lord. Trust and obey!

Every seed of disobedience in us be removed in Jesus Name. Every Spirit of disobedience operating in our lives be destroyed in Jesus Name Amen. I receive grace to live in obedience as from today in Jesus Name Amen. O Lord, let the results of obedience begin to manifest in our lives and ministry in Jesus Name Amen. Thanks for uploading this song and God bless you all. Shalom!!!

Lovely hymn. It was taken out of the Methodist hymn book. When they brought out new singing in praise. I thought was a great shame as only hymn this man wrote.

“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love” John 15:10 ESV

The ‘commandment’ as used in this context is ‘entolé’ (in Greek) and refers to “order, command, law, injunction, precept,” The ‘love’ is ‘agapé’ (in Greek) and refers to “love, goodwill”.

This clearly tells us that when we live by the Lords precepts (instruction/teaching), we remain in His love and goodwill (kindness). I personally believe that although the Lord loves everyone, He has some ‘special attention/kindness” for those who obey Him. Abraham trusted and obeyed God, becoming the friend of God and being blessed abundantly.

May God give us the grace to obey Him, to live by His precepts as His Spirit leads us.

This is the confidence that we have that when we ask anything in His name according to His will, God hears us. God always respond to His word. When we abide in His words and pray to Him, He answer prayers. I believe in prayers, I believe in prayers, I believe in prayers, prayers moves mountains. Praise the Lord!!! Thanks for uploading this song and God bless you all.
