1
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
2
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
3
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
4
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
5
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
6
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

I chose this hymn as one of them for my Mum's funeral last year. She loved it and knew it off by heart. Thanks for providing the lyrics today when I needed them once more!

Asked God for a hymn for my birthday today and this came to mind. Chose for my dedication hymn for the year. God journeyed through some serious thyroid health issues last year and I give Him all the glory and praise.

Having just spent time in God's company, shared with treasured friends, the first line of this hymn came to mind. This expresses all He has spoken to us about this evening!!! Make all of me, like all of You Lord. I too am transported back to childhood - amazing days - amazing hymns.

What an amazing surrender in song. The ancient hymns of our yesterday I often wonder how the children of today will remember these precious hymns created by our forefathers so that we all may praise our Father fervently through the gift of hymn. Will they know them? Father I love you I adore you and I surrender my all my husband and daughter I thank you for your unfailing love and your mercy. Take my life Lord and make it yours. Take their life and bring them where you want them in your arms Mold me make me I love you!

I’ve been singing the 1st line of this song for a week. Just Googled it so I could sing the entire hymn. I’ve recommitted my Life to Jesus. I’m retired, and have been my Mother’s caregiver for the past 7 1/2 years. She is in Hospice now and will soon go Home to be with Jesus. She is so excited and eager to go Home and see Jesus, and be in Heaven with her loved ones. Once she passes, Jesus has plans for My life. To continue to serve Him, and Him alone for the rest of my days. I have surrendered ALL to Him. I am filled with His Joy and Peace. Watch and see what He will do!

Blessings on all of you!! Go with God!!

O Lord, may nothing dwell in my soul but Your pure love alone. Till my every thought, word, and act be love. Yes Lord, may Your love posses me whole; You're my joy, my treasure, my crown!

This has been my focus and prayers of consecration since I gave my life to Jesus Christ on December 24, 1979. I love You Lord. To You alone be the glory, honor, adoration and praises. Amen.

Revised version:

1. Take my life, and let it be

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days,

Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Chorus:

For me, You were mocked and crucified;

For me, willingly You bled and died.

Lord, my life and love I willingly outpour

And will serve You ever more.

2. Take my hands and feet, I pray,

For Thy work, to run Thy way.

Take my lips that I may sound

Word of truth to those around.

3. Take my silver and my gold;

Not a mite would I withhold;

Take my intellect, and use

Every power as Thou shalt choose.

4. Make my heart and will Thine own;

They belong to Thee alone.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour

At Thy feet its treasure-store.

5. Take me, Lord, till I've become

Ever joined to Thee as one.

Take myself, and I will be

Ever, only, all for Thee.
