In today's reading God said to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." Where my mind wanders my feet are sure to follow. Thank You Lord for Your precious word. As l read this, this hymn came to mind and l asked Google to give me the lyrics.
During prayer, this song welled up in my heart. No matter the trials Lord let me be Yours now and forevermore. Amen.

During a quiet time this morning I read Deut 8 and this song, which I have not sung for some time, came to my mind. Though trials and challenges abound, I do not hesitate to embrace this song and its transforming words.

Meditating on romans 12:1-2 and this hymn dropped in my heart. As I sang it, I realized that this is what offering myself to God as a living sacrifice is - total surrender, yielding everything to God.
