Joys are flowing like a river, Since the Comforter has come; He abides with us forever, Makes the trusting heart His home. |
Blessed quietness, holy quietness— What assurance in my soul! On the stormy sea He speaks peace to me. How the billows cease to roll! |

Like the rain that falls from heaven, Like the sunlight from the sky, So the Holy Ghost is given, Coming to us from on high. |

What a wonderful salvation Where we always see His face! What a perfect habitation! What a quiet resting place! |

Such sweetness to the words and music. Can't help but love it.

This is a wonderful song that shows that the Lord can be our Comforter if we let Him make home in our hearts.

How I adore hymns with nature metaphors! This is so pretty and peaceful. I again thank you for the music as I seek to learn this hymn this month.

This song is melodious and its beautiful rhymes and unique composition make me like it. It is to me a prohetic song which I sing when things get disquiet and rough. There is blessed quietness when the Spirit of God takes over, when we go into the presence of God and leave our troubles behind us. His words are peaceful.
