He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

This song came to mind today. The more I hummed and sang it the more I wanted to climb up on the roof and shout it out!!

My favorite childhood hymn that lifts my spirits. So wonderful to hear it again.

Feeling low today, then this tune comes to my mind. I'm looking on the up again. God's name be praised! Amen.

A song from my childhood; a song that sustains throughout life; a song to warm the heart and mind of every Christian and child of God.

This morning I asked the Lord as to the areas in my life where I needed to give Him more access - and He immediately directed me to the song "I Serve a Risen Savior." There was my answer; i.e., all areas.

I was writing out my lesson for my Sunday School class of juniors and seniors in high school and I needed a song to place at the end of the lesson. Today's lesson is on the Kinsman Redeemer (Ruth 4) and the song, He Lives!, plays an integral part in the lesson showing Jesus Christ, as the Kinsman Redeemer. Since God has always shown Himself to His people, the song was most appropriate.

We sang this wonderful hymn in church today, and over lunch we couldn't get it out of our heads , but couldn't quite get the tune right, so we looked it up on line. My dad says he has been serving the risen Saviour for the last eighty years, and for the last 72 years as a lay preacher in the Methodist church. Hallelujah!

As I am preparing my sermon for this weekend, this old hymn rose up in my spirit and wouldn't go away. I went on-line to read through the lyrics and found my heart warmed reading through all of your similar comments. Indeed we serve a LIVING SAVIOUR! Be blessed today!

I looked up this song because I've gotten in the habit of turning off the radio when driving to work and simply having prayer and worship time. I sing old hymns and pray. I wanted to learn all the words to this song so I could sing it too. Very soothing to sing these when facing challenges of the workday! I used to just go for the contemporary Christian songs, but there's something about the old hymns that warms my soul deep inside me.

I was a such wretch, and laughed at God, where are You? Actually after some years, I turned to Christ, I still didn't like this kind of old hymns. I thought that these are old-fashioned. And my life wasn't in order. Because what I lived was very modern. I thought I am a Christian, but Christ didn't live in my heart. And God changed me later, I found myself the greatest liar! I called Christ, Lord, but the real Lord was sin for me. Sorry Lord, today You made me born again, and I can see You live within my heart! Thank YOU my Lord!
