I must tell Jesus all of my trials

1
I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
  Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
2
I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
And in my griefs with me He will blend.
3
Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
He all my cares and sorrows will share,
4
O how the world to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus; He will enable
Over the world the vic'try to win.

I just have to believe God in this song, that even as I'm telling him my adversities he will hearken to me. For I choose Him as a friend who knows all my flaws and can still help. Six years on trial to have access into university but to no avail. God is too big to lose my trust on. I shall wait till the end.

It’s Lent; 1st Sunday; Already my Ash Wednesday vows to refrain from certain behaviors and thoughts for 40 days have foundered. Already I am ashamed of myself.

Jesus in the desert suffers 40 days of insidious attacks on his thinking and appetites: He prayed and meditated on the word.

The words of this song came back into my mind this morning out of nowhere, suddenly, when I just wrote in my notebook that in these moments of temptation, Jesus alone can help me. I get so sick of myself and my scant ability to resist anything for more than a day or two; really weak!

My mind recovered both the tune and the chorus of this hymn from back in a time when I walked closer with the Light.

I must tell Jesus, I MUST tell Jesus. Man l have just got to keep these words in my heart. I cannot bear these burdens alone.

The writer of this song was touched by God.

Encouraged by the comments here. Praying this evening and the Spirit brought this song to mind. Like many others I googled it to find all the lyrics and here the sweet refrain. Jesus you are so precious to me!

I love this hymn. This morning I awoke with it on my mind but couldn't remember all the words do I googled it. I want to give these words to a young lady who is coming to stay with me. She has lost her husband her house and has 2 children to support so she needs this song.

This is one of my favourite hymns and it just came to mind as I am sat at work. Reading through these comments is refreshing and I am happy for those who have overcome trials and temptations & to those who are still marching on, Jesus can HELP us Jesus ALONE!!

Hallelujah!

My mother, who is in heaven, used to sing this song. Now I understand that there times when you are burdened down and can't share what you are going through with others; Jesus is there to listen and help. Jesus is my refuge and will fix it!

My mom sang this song a lot. She was saved after she was married and my father was not a Christian. She had a hard time as light and darkness cannot dwell together. This song helped her until her death just 16 days ago. Thank You Lord for this song!

Lovely old song I learned in the early 1960s. Forgot the lyrics and just found it here. I am excited. Praise the Lord.

Revised version:

1. I must tell Jesus all of my trials;

I cannot bear these burdens alone;

In distress, He alone can assist me;

Wipe my tears, sympathize with His own.

Chorus:

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

Pour out my heart to Jesus alone;

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

He knows, He comforts—Jesus alone.

2. I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;

I cannot bear my burdens alone;

My affairs, only Jesus can shoulder;

Comfort and soothe me—Jesus alone.

3. I must tell Jesus all my shortcomings;

I cannot face my worries alone;

I taste His riches, my need supplying,

More than sufficient—Jesus alone.

4. I must tell Jesus all of my weakness;

I can't o'ercome flesh, lust, on my own;

From law of sin, from all of my bondage,

He can release me—Jesus alone.

5. I must tell Jesus all my temptations;

I can't withstand the tempter alone.

In a like manner Jesus was tempted;

Jesus can rescue—Jesus alone.
