I must tell Jesus all of my trials

1
I must tell Jesus all of my trials;
I cannot bear these burdens alone;
In my distress He kindly will help me;
He ever loves and cares for His own.

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
I cannot bear my burdens alone;
I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!
  Jesus can help me, Jesus alone.
2
I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;
He is a kind, compassionate Friend;
If I but ask Him, He will deliver,
And in my griefs with me He will blend.
3
Tempted and tried I need a great Savior,
One who can help my burdens to bear;
I must tell Jesus, I must tell Jesus;
He all my cares and sorrows will share,
4
O how the world to evil allures me!
O how my heart is tempted to sin!
I must tell Jesus; He will enable
Over the world the vic'try to win.

One day a pastor visited a troubled member. She faced many afflictions and was greatly discouraged. When the sister had unburdened herself to her pastor, she pleaded, "Brother Hoffman, what shall I do? What shall I do?" The pastor didn't really know what to say to her. To buy himself a few moments, he read some Scripture. Then he gave her the practical advice he could offer. "You cannot do better than to take all of your sorrows to Jesus," he said. "You must tell Jesus." Surprisingly, this off-the-cuff pastoral advice worked! The woman thought about it. She became focused on meditation. Then her countenance changed. And with great joy, she agreed with her pastor, "Yes, I must tell Jesus."

The pastor, Elisha A. Hoffman, soon returned to his study. But he couldn't get that sister's face out of his mind. Her words continued to ring in his ear. "I must tell Jesus. I must tell Jesus. I must tell Jesus." By the time Hoffman reached his study, he had crafted the words to this beloved hymn. - It Happens After Prayer by H. B. Charles, Jr.

Sometimes in many situation, I was too busy thinking or looking for a way out. But this hymn reminds me, no need to be complicated, just simply tell Him.

He knows, He understands, because everything is God's sovereignty.

This song is a great encouragement. In my troubles and trials here below, I know I can turn to Jesus who truly knows and understands all that I am going through and who miraculously always makes a way for me.

This song reminds me that I have a close Friend who is ready to answer and hear my prayers.

Surely I must tell Jesus; nobody can help me as He does....

He is the only true Friend I have.....

Real Jesus is the best Friend to tell all of our trials, He is the best Comforter ever. Cast all your burdens to Him.

Revised version:

1. I must tell Jesus all of my trials;

I cannot bear these burdens alone;

In distress, He alone can assist me;

Wipe my tears, sympathize with His own.

Chorus:

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

Pour out my heart to Jesus alone;

I must tell Jesus! I must tell Jesus!

He knows, He comforts—Jesus alone.

2. I must tell Jesus all of my troubles;

I cannot bear my burdens alone;

My affairs, only Jesus can shoulder;

Comfort and soothe me—Jesus alone.

3. I must tell Jesus all my shortcomings;

I cannot face my worries alone;

I taste His riches, my need supplying,

More than sufficient—Jesus alone.

4. I must tell Jesus all of my weakness;

I can't o'ercome flesh, lust, on my own;

From law of sin, from all of my bondage,

He can release me—Jesus alone.

5. I must tell Jesus all my temptations;

I can't withstand the tempter alone.

In a like manner Jesus was tempted;

Jesus can rescue—Jesus alone.
