I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice

1
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
  And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
  And be closer drawn to Thee.

Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
  To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
  By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
  And my will be lost in Thine.
3
O the pure delight of a single hour
  That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
  I commune as friend with friend!
4
There are depths of love that I yet may know
  Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
  Ere I rest in peace with Thee.

Awake, troubled, praying for God’s help in the middle of the night, this beautiful hymn came to me. I had not thought of it in many years, perhaps since my youth.

I looked up “I am Thine O Lord” and the lovely words were here. What a blessing to all of us! Draw us nearer, nearer, nearer precious Lord.

Yes I believe more and more that, as the hymn says, there are depths of love and heights of joy yet to be reached before we are gathered home to be with Jesus. As I continue to yield to His Spirit's leading, I find an ever-creasing joy and love filling my heart. His Name be praised!

Here I was in a quiet moment with Father, after having read from my daily devotional which referenced 1 John 5:15 and basically saying to Him, whatever I may ask of you, it never surpasses my deepest desire to be drawn ever closer to you. Then this song came to my spirit and I looked it up because I wanted to get the words right. I think this song will stay with me, because it ultimately expresses my truest desire. I also appreciate your many comments that I have read so far.

Thank you very much for posting this glorious hymn. I woke up after 4am. Feeling a bit trouble, I know what the problems are. At least some. Trying to pray but not focusing, not concentrating, just can't. Start telling God, Lord I need You. Nothing seems to be happening so minutes to 6 I got up and start doing some washing and drying.

Trying to talk to God but, not getting anywhere.

I decided to do my devotion, and in my quiet time.

My heart starts singing, I am thine O Lord.

So I looked it up.

God truly is Awesome! I truly thank You ABBA that You would always give us a song to strengthen us in our darkest moments. I love You Lord.

God longs to fellowship with you! Throughout Scripture, we see how God desires to draw people to Himself. He has myriads of angels who worship Him, so why seek you and me? He created us to have intimacy, and a daily walk with us. How humbling this is and how precious to think that I can make Him happy today by my worship, love, and devotion. The whole story of Calvary is for us to be reunited with Him. Let's give Him our best today!

17th Feb 2024, I just woke up this beautiful morning after having what I call a lesson dream only to hear this song ministered into my heart. I didn't know how it came or why but I believe that God was trying to tell me something.

My brothers and sisters, it is paramount that we make this song our prayer request as we journey through this period of length.

God is looking for people he will use in this end time and I want us to make ourselves available for this purpose.

God bless you.
