Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
2
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
3
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Woow I really like this hymn, it touches my soul deeply.
It's actually a blessing on it own to know that Jesus Christ is ours, anything we may ask in The Father in his name it shall be given to us.

This is the last thing that my late mum said and took her last breath. she requested that the song be sung even on her burial. It’s so comforting. I often sing this song.

One of the hymns I would like for my funeral. This is my hope, my faith and my promise in Christ :)

This came to mind while praying for a dear professor's family. I hope that it's powerful message comes to them in peace, soon.

A few verses came to mind tonight but I didn't know all the verses. Had my Grandma Althea (96) look it up and she sent me this link. Wow! Loving it. Now I can burst forth in song. My mind knows the tune so well. I'm so happy to now have the verses to memorize to go with it!!!!! These words bring happiness to my soul. Funny to think that the person who wrote this song had the same thoughts and desires. One church!
