Blessed assurance, Jesus is mine;
Oh, what a foretaste of glory divine!
Heir of salvation, purchase of God,
Born of His Spirit, washed in His blood.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
2
Perfect submission, perfect delight,
Visions of rapture now burst on my sight;
Angels descending, bring from above
Echoes of mercy, whispers of love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
3
Perfect submission, all is at rest,
I in my Savior am happy and blest;
Watching and waiting, looking above,
Filled with His goodness, lost in His love.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.
This is my story, this is my song,
Praising my Savior all the day long.

Blessed assurance indeed

Word of assurance from a father. Evidence of His salvation and I rejoice for such atonement. Thank you God. I will sing blessed assurance many times and more inspirations kept unvailing.

Blessed Assurance, getting the words I want to sing this song to the Father, He has done so much for me I just can't thank Him enough. This song is my story and I want the world to know that I am so grateful that He saved my soul from sin and shame. Thank You LORD.

Praise God for blessed assurance, to know we are His and He is mine. Also, to know He will be there in troubles and trials we may face in life.

Dickie George shared his testimony and then sang this hymn in 1974 at a Youth Camp in Port Dickson in Malaysia. I was sat in the hidden recesses of an auditorium balcony as a 14 year old when I heard our Father's voice through the words of this hymn and I gave my heart to His Son Jesus, sobbing for no explicable reason. Oh, what a wonderful day! Oh, what a gracious Father!!!

It's the second day of a year filled with so many uncertainty, but am very glad because of the blessed assurance I have in Jesus. Am certain that this year will be filled with lots of great testimonies for me and my household.

Grew up hearing this song in church; the choir; watching my mom & dad sing it.
Late in life, it came to my memory, this time, fully examining the words.
For me, the bridge is now complete. Amen. He never blinked.

So touched by A's comment/prayer below—not to be defined by our circumstances but by Christ. It is true! we, believers are joined to the Lord as one in spirit (1 Cor. 6:17). Our union with the Lord is everything! Lord enable us to know it!
Make it our reality and consciousness. Make it our story and song! Thus, we would praise You all day the long. Amen.
