A divine, romantic story

There is a great mystery,
A wonderful story;
For ages ’twas hidden,
Now shown in His wisdom;
’Tis a divine romance
Of God and man in time;
Beyond understanding,
Yet seen in God’s speaking.

God fell in love with man;
For only God’s love can
Make man just the same as He
In life and in nature.
We are His expression,
His bride, His enlargement;
Forever, together,
As living, insep’rable as one couple
Eternally.
2
Though He was rejected
By men who were blinded;
His love is constraining,
His heart still unchanging;
Thus in incarnation
Came He as salvation;
His name is called Jesus,
And He came to seek us.
3
Though born as a sinner,
His blood has redeemed me.
He suffered on Calv’ry,
Then raised up in glory,
To regenerate me.
Now joined in one spirit
I love to enjoy Him,
For I’ve been forgiven!
4
His love is so tender,
To Him I’ll surrender;
His name is so precious,
I gladly call, “Jesus!”
His Person’s so charming,
My heart ever winning;
I’ll hold back no longer,
I’ll love Him forever.

This song helps me realize not only the simple facts that the Lord went through for me, but it reveals to me our romantic Christ. Every time I listen, sing it, or play it on guitar, the Lord always touches me with it. Our Christ is such a loving Christ!

This song really touches me when I'm down. Sometimes when I was in the negative situations the song reminds me, and said 'no matter how people look on you whether they like or dislike you, but remember there's one Person who still loves and understands you.'

The greatest mystery on earth, that the religions will never knows. God is love, and thus He has fallen in love with man since men has fallen in the begining unto eternity.

And now I can learn how to love everyone in any kind of situation. This is because He is the One who loves us first, from the beginning to the end.

I love this song! It's so beautiful! While other girls my age (14) are chasing boyfriends & lovers I'm loving my Lord!

The tune is beautiful and words are so true and especially moving. I sang it at wedding recently. The couple loved it and I do as well.
