O soul, are you weary and troubled? No light in the darkness you see? There’s light for a look at the Savior, And life more abundant and free. |
Turn your eyes upon Jesus, Look full in His wonderful face, And the things of earth will grow strangely dim, In the light of His glory and grace. |

This was in my devotions from David Jeremiah today. The whole chorus came flooding into my memory. The practice of turning to the Lord gives peace in the storms.

This wonderful hymn came to me this morning as I was feeling overwhelmed by a certain situation I'm passing through. So good there is a way out of our troublesome thoughts and feelings, just to "turn my eyes upon Jesus" by call on His wonderful name! What a wonderful Savior, Shepherd, Friend we have in Jesus, who loves to undertake all our troubles and problems!

It's one day from my 60th Birthday and the time 02. 12am. My mind starts to wonder and worry when I hear the whisper of the first line to this hymn. O the comfort of the Holy Spirit!!!

The Holy Spirit brought this to my attention this morning. What a comforting hymn! Psalm 123:1 “Unto thee lift I up my eyes, O thou that dwellest in the heavens. ”
