Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

The Lord hath promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.

Awesome. I sing this song with my wife and kids in our family prayer. It is our favourite song. We love it.

I sing this song every time I can’t sleep and I sing this song every time I feel lonely. This was my father-in-law‘s favorite song of all time and my sister-in-law used to sing this song to her children when they were little I hope anyone that hears this song it brings them peace . 😍

This hymn was just mentioned on Public Radio because there is a new book about it. The author was interviewed and I can’t wait to read it. Or maybe there’s an audiobook edition!

It is 3AM and I am holding my newborn granddaughter in my arms after her middle of the night feeding. The words "The Lord has promised good to me. His word my hope secures. He will my shield and portion be, as long as life endures." are going through my heart and mind as I pray for her. The world is so wicked, but our God is so good and great and strong. We who fully trust in him for ourselves and those following after us, will be sustained in this life and the life to come.

Early this morning, as I struggled to sleep in the excruciating pain of a severe sciatic attack, I heard God tell me to sing. I sang Amazing Grace and felt my pain ease greatly. Tears of pain are replaced by heartfelt tears of joy. God is good to those He loves and those who love and obey Him. Alleluia. Blessed Christmas to all, Shalom 🙏 ❤️
