The love of God is greater far

1
The love of God is greater far
  Than tongue or pen can ever tell.
It goes beyond the highest star
  And reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair, bowed down with care,
  God gave His Son to win;
His erring child He reconciled
  And pardoned from his sin.

O love of God, how rich and pure!
  How measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure—
    The saints’ and angels’ song.
2
When hoary time shall pass away,
  And earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When men who here refuse to pray,
  On rocks and hills and mountains call;
God’s love, so sure, shall still endure,
  All measureless and strong;
Redeeming grace to Adam’s race—
  The saints’ and angels’ song.
3
Could we with ink the ocean fill,
  And were the skies of parchment made;
Were every stalk on earth a quill,
  And every man a scribe by trade;
To write the love of God above
  Would drain the ocean dry;
Nor could the scroll contain the whole,
  Though stretched from sky to sky.

Holy Father, I pray that out of your glorious riches you will strengthen me with power through your spirit in my inner being, so that Christ may dwell in my heart through faith. And I pray that I will be rooted and grounded in love and have power to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ. And may I know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge and be filled with all the fullness of you.

I woke up with this hymn in my head. I had to sit down and sing it. I was uplifted and encouraged as I sang it. What a glorious God we have! We will need eternity to know and appreciate such boundless, powerful and endless love of our wonderful God through Christ Jesus our Lord! Praise Him!

I pray that I will love God as He loves us all. My brothers and sisters let us love God with all our hearts minds bodies and souls. We can do so by keeping His 10 Commandments. Not 1 or 9. Not the ones that pleases us or fits our lifestyle. ALL 10. Love and nuff nuff blessings. R. D.

God did not love me 30% or 90%

He loves me with His entirety. He held not back.....

I bow in dust, and sing above the Angels

I remember my mom singing this song for years she had such a beautiful voice , she passed in 2019. I miss her beautiful voice and now I sing the song , it reminds me of the love God has for us Noone can love us like the love of God , he love us so much that he send his only son to die for our sins that we can live, the love of God is an uplifting son it reminds me of the love he has for us. And He wants us to returns love to him in Matthew 22 :37reminds us how we should love the Lord our God , it is the greatest command. His love reaches to the highest mountain and goes to the lowest hell , love and obedience is the best gift we can give to God.

My dad is now in glory, he died at the age of 96 he preached his first sermon at the age of eighteen, he was a Minister, Missionary, He was preaching for 78 years. As a miner in the South Wales valleys before he went to Bible College he would be singing down the pit. He continued to use his voice in missions and Church services until he was in his eighties and Parkinson’s disease took his voice.

This is one I remember him singing George Beverley Shea used to sing this hymn at Billy Graham campaigns. What a blessing this hymn is to me

Love of God is good

I started off my morning singing a few lines I could remember from this hymn. The tune and few words have been playing in the background of my mind throughout the day. I finally looked the hymn up tonight to get all the stanzas. The final stanza is the one that played in my mind starting this morning and lingered as a sweet smelling fragrance. I believe that fragrance was Jesus. I woke up with Jesus and I’m going to bed with Jesus. 🙏 Oh, thank God for his love and our beautiful Lord Jesus! “We love him because he first loved us” 1John 4:19
