“Come and dine”—
We can eat and drink of Jesus all the time!
He’s our daily food supply,
Only He can satisfy.
“Come and dine,” the Lord is calling,
“Come and dine.”
“Come and dine.”
When we eat and drink of Jesus all the time,
He becomes our life within,
And He fills us to the brim.
“Come and dine,” the Lord is calling,
“Come and dine.”

A very beautiful and melodious song. It shows that Jesus is always ready to provide for us all the time. It’s only us who do not see the ready prepared meal.

"We can eat and drink of Jesus all the time!"
The best time to eat is when we feel like we have no strength, no encouragement, no words to sing to the Lord.
As I was telling the Lord, I feel weak and short of words to say to Him, this hymn came to mind.. "Come and dine!" Just come and dine! The Lord can fill us and only He can satisfy!

I remember this, I suddenly thought about this chorus a few months ago. I remember it differently from my childhood, lol, that is way back to the fifties.

This song is based on the 1907 song "Jesus has a Table Spread" by C. B . Widmeyer based on John 21:12. It is also known by the chorus, "Come and dine, the Master calleth."
