Softly and tenderly Jesus is calling—
Calling for you and for me;
Patiently Jesus is waiting and watching—
Watching for you and for me!
Calling for you and for me;
Patiently Jesus is waiting and watching—
Watching for you and for me!
Come home! come home!
Ye who are weary, come home!
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!
Ye who are weary, come home!
Earnestly, tenderly, Jesus is calling,
Calling, O sinner, come home!

Why should we tarry when Jesus is pleading—
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies—
Mercies for you and for me?
Pleading for you and for me?
Why should we linger and heed not His mercies—
Mercies for you and for me?

Time is now fleeting, the moments are passing—
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, death-beds are coming—
Coming for you and for me!
Passing from you and from me;
Shadows are gathering, death-beds are coming—
Coming for you and for me!

Oh, for the wonderful love He has promised—
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon—
Pardon for you and for me!
Promised for you and for me!
Though we have sinned, He has mercy and pardon—
Pardon for you and for me!

The person who commented about the “devotional” called “Jesus Calling”.... I can’t tell you how disturbing it is that they didn’t seem to know that the alleged “devotional” is actually a New Age book that peaches a different gospel and was basically a spirit channeled , ie it was given by a spirit claiming to be Jesus but teaches in contradiction to the Bible a DIFFERENT gospel and highly unbiblical teachings ie doctrines of demons.
Its important that people know this so they can be warned. If I had a copy of that book I would burn it and tell any demons that came into my life or home because if it to leave in the name of Jesus Christ.
If anyone wants more detail, Warren Smith, a firmer New Ager, now a Christian, goes into great detail on the teachings of that “devotional” and how they differ from the Bible & actual teachings of Jesus Christ

My dear friend is waiting for the passing of her mother as I write this. I wanted to listen—just to remember His love and that He is patiently waiting for us all.

Got up this morning by the Grace of our Lord God, and the next thing that came to my mind like a burden was to sing this hymn.
I didn't know the lyrics, so I googled it. Honestly, my soul is touched remembering that we all are edging towards our graves and so many of us are unprepared.
Lord JESUS CHRIST, by your Grace... may I have the unfailing opportunity to settle my scores with and men at the hour of my death or rapture. (whichever comes first). Amen!

I pray that my brother and my sister and all souls that are being tourmented and ravished by addiction and suffering are hearing Christ’s call for their life every time this song is sung around the world. I pray that the Blood of Jesus and the whole armor of God covers their lives and a hedge of protection surrounds them; and God blesses them, protects them and keeps them in the Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
