But that Thy blood was shed for me,
And that Thou bid’st me come to Thee,
O Lamb of God, I come! I come!
To rid my soul of one dark blot;
To Thee whose blood can cleanse each spot,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
With many a conflict, many a doubt;
Fightings within, and fears without,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Sight, riches, healing of the mind;
Yes, all I need, in Thee to find,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Wilt welcome, pardon, cleanse, relieve;
Because Thy promise I believe,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!
Has broken every barrier down;
Now, to be Thine, yea, Thine alone,
O Lamb of God, I come, I come!

A teacher I had when I was in the 2nd grade taught this to me, along with the 10 commandments. This song has been my favorite since.

It is amazing that the experiences of those who love our dear Lord, expresed as poems for our singing and worship, are timeless. Yes dear Lord we also come to you full of gratitude and love! We love so much!

I was once under the usurpation of Satan, and was in the terrible condemnation of sin.
Praise the Lord for this hymn. I just need to come to the Lord, the Lamb of God who is faithful. I have found rest in Him by just coming to Him!
O' Lamb of God! I come, I come. Hallelujah!

When I was around 15, being a practicing Hindu, ignorant, self-centered I hated Christians. There was a tent meeting with the service about to close. Being curious I went in to see what was happening and as I entered, the folks began to sing this song. The first verse was all I needed and I walked up to the altar and wept. Since then I never went back to old ways but I have JESUS. I am now 47 yrs. LOVE & BLESSINGS, Chaykhinah.
