What a Friend we have in Jesus

1
What a Friend we have in Jesus,
  All our sins and griefs to bear!
What a privilege to carry
  Everything to God in prayer!
O what peace we often forfeit,
  O what needless pain we bear,
All because we do not carry
  Everything to God in prayer!
2
Have we trials and temptations?
  Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged,
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Can we find a friend so faithful
  Who will all our sorrows share?
Jesus knows our every weakness,
  Take it to the Lord in prayer.
3
Are we weak and heavy-laden,
  Cumbered with a load of care?
Precious Savior, still our refuge—
  Take it to the Lord in prayer;
Do thy friends despise, forsake thee?
  Take it to the Lord in prayer;
In His arms He’ll take and shield thee,
  Thou wilt find a solace there.

My favourite Hymn from childhood to now. I love the original words here for they are way better than any changed version. I don't understand why the words "we" "thou" and some others need to be changed. We all gain with the blessings of prayer. The writer wrote it from his heart and we all sing it from heart, because we all have a solace in our Only True Friend, Jesus. May all who sing this song, find a close relationship with Jesus through His Word, keeping and walking in His Word. For thou truly will find Him there.

Mark 5:19

Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee.

John 15:13

Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.

John 15:14

Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

John 15:15

Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

A door has come open for my husband a job. We really don't want the same position he had before. We're seeking GOD for what to do and the PRECIOUS HOLY SPIRIT ROSE UP IN MY SPIRIT with this very comforting BLESSED ASSURANCE THAT HE IS WITH US AND WILL DIRECT US AS WE SEEK HIM!!! JESUS IS ALTOGETHER LOVELY!!!

I was moody, depressed for a long time now due to the ups and downs in my life, as I wanted to talk to my God this afternoon, I remembered that in my secondary school days, that there was a hyme that comforts me whenever am alone and sad, I was memorising some of the lyrics and I then decided to search it online and here it is. This hyme comforts my soul, makes me feel special, makes me know that someone really cares for me. The love of Jesus is all and all
