I woke up and my thought were filled with all the stress I was going through. It’s my birthday today but my heart was stressed I couldn’t be thankful. After ranting inwardly for a while I began asking God to change my heart to be full of appreciation to Him ( I know things aren’t so bad as they appear). I also asked that the Lord change my heart to desire His way and will for me. He brought this Hymn into my remembrance and I had to google it to get the complete lyrics!! Truly this hymn has lifted my spirit and confirms that He is in control of my life and heart!! Thank you Jesus!!!! I am so grateful for everything you have and are doing for me!!

O God, Mighty Redeemer and Mighty to Save, we find ourselves in perilous times again. What a blessing to find these words in this Hymn as our world turns increasingly towards chaos. It reminds me that no matter our situation our Father whose eye is on the sparrow knows the way that we take. May any and all outcomes in exercising our faith in You O Lord be to the GLORY of THY NAME. I humbly pray this prayer in the NAME that is ABOVE ALL OTHER NAMES, my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Hallelujah! Amen. COME LORD JESUS!

We sang this hymn in church today. I looked it up again just now, and realized that some of the thoughts come from Psalm 90, which has been a very helpful psalm for me this summer. The thought that God is our home, in the midst of unexpected transitions, is a comfort.
