This is the most famous hymn written by Frances Havergal. She was a gifted poet and hymnist. She lived a life plagued by ill health and only lived to 42 years old. This hymn always brings me to the Lord and a humble restating of my consecration. I realize that He doesn’t want my things but my heart. “Take myself and I will be, ever only all for thee”. If I “let Him” He will take my heart little by little. ❤️

Reading John 13 this morning and this song came to mind. Had to look it up as I couldn’t remember all the words and, like I read in so many of the comments, they are so true and so humbling.
