1
Take my life, and let it be
Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;
Take my moments and my days,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise,
Let them flow in ceaseless praise.
2
Take my hands, and let them move
At the impulse of Thy love;
Take my feet and let them be
Swift and beautiful for Thee,
Swift and beautiful for Thee.
3
Take my voice, and let me sing
Always, only, for my King;
Take my lips, and let them be
Filled with messages from Thee,
Filled with messages from Thee.
4
Take my silver and my gold;
Not a mite would I withhold;
Take my intellect, and use
Every power as Thou shalt choose,
Every power as Thou shalt choose.
5
Take my will, and make it Thine;
It shall be no longer mine.
Take my heart; it is Thine own;
It shall be Thy royal throne,
It shall be Thy royal throne.
6
Take my love; my Lord, I pour
At Thy feet its treasure-store.
Take myself, and I will be
Ever, only, all for Thee,
Ever, only, all for Thee.

After reading psalm 8 this morning and I was meditating on the Love of God towards humanity. Indeed God is Love!

This song came into my spirit and I saw the need to consecrate myself to God my maker for his use.

May God bless the song writer and those who contributed in one or another in making this song available to humanity.

I was singing this hymn repeatedly in my dream with other brethren, I could not remember all the lyrics, when I woke up I quickly opened the hymn on my phone to sing it again , is a solemn and a consecrated hymn for me, I love the lyrics, Take my heart and will Lord, it is thy own. I am broken Lord all is for thee

Was reading my Bible and this song came into my spirit. I had to look it up because I couldn't remember all the lines. Thank you for this.

This is the most famous hymn written by Frances Havergal. She was a gifted poet and hymnist. She lived a life plagued by ill health and only lived to 42 years old. This hymn always brings me to the Lord and a humble restating of my consecration. I realize that He doesn’t want my things but my heart. “Take myself and I will be, ever only all for thee”. If I “let Him” He will take my heart little by little. ❤️

Reading John 13 this morning and this song came to mind. Had to look it up as I couldn’t remember all the words and, like I read in so many of the comments, they are so true and so humbling. Singing them just fills my heart with joy and love for the Lord Jesus Christ and what He’s done for me. Glory to God!

Meditateing what consecration is yesterday, this song came to me. Praise to God the Holy Spirit who teaches May God help me. and bless you for the song encouraging me.

Revised version:

1. Take my life, and let it be

Consecrated, Lord, to Thee;

Take my moments and my days,

Let them flow in ceaseless praise.

Chorus:

For me, You were mocked and crucified;

For me, willingly You bled and died.

Lord, my life and love I willingly outpour

And will serve You ever more.

2. Take my hands and feet, I pray,

For Thy work, to run Thy way.

Take my lips that I may sound

Word of truth to those around.

3. Take my silver and my gold;

Not a mite would I withhold;

Take my intellect, and use

Every power as Thou shalt choose.

4. Make my heart and will Thine own;

They belong to Thee alone.

Take my love; my Lord, I pour

At Thy feet its treasure-store.

5. Take me, Lord, till I've become

Ever joined to Thee as one.

Take myself, and I will be

Ever, only, all for Thee.
