I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice

1
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
  And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
  And be closer drawn to Thee.
  Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
  To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
  By the pow’r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
  And my will be lost in Thine.
3
O the pure delight of a single hour
  That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
  I commune as friend with friend!
4
There are depths of love that I yet may know
  Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
  Ere I rest in peace with Thee.

I had a pull towards this song in my spirit as I was medidating this morning. And it once again gave me the assurance of His presence, His love, His faithfulness and His transforming power. And ultimately being our hope of glory. PRAISE GOD! HALLELUJAH!

How amazing to read your stories and to discover how other people also get reminded of songs from the past as they come to God in prayer. We take just a small step towards Him and He rushes out to meet us. Thank You Lord Jesus for Your love, sacrifice and ongoing work in our lives! Amen.

This song came to mind this early morning as I read my Bible and prayed. What a blessing to know that God calls to mind the songs of our hearts to praise Him and lead us in worship during our quiet times with Him! I love the song.. especially the third verse... the best part of my day is the quiet hour I spend with Him... my Friend... each day. Blessings.

Lord, that You may lead me to that depth of love that only You have reached.

My Saviour, my Deliverer, The Lover of my soul.

I need Thee every hour.

Maranatha!

As I was meditating, the Lord drop this song in my spirit and immediately I searched out the lyrics and sang it with the whole of my heart as if my life depends on it. And made a prayer of God revealing the true essence of His crucifixion to me. And drawing me nearer to Him on a daily basis. Shalom.

Praise the Lord Jesus. This song haven’t crossed my mind in decades and just came to me as I sat in the laundromat. Couldn’t remember the lyrics and I looked it up. Looking for that day when I will finally reach the heights of joy and the length of love, when I’m safe in the arms of Jesus. What a blessed assurance!! Have a blessed day on purpose.

The verse four is so key

It keeps coming at me.

The lyrics always so deep and refreshing

Reveals the love that keeps my soul going

The Cross, where it did start

Thank You Jesus for Your heart

I will see You one day

In glory all the way

As I knelt to pray this morning this song came to mind like others I read about here and I fumbled through the second and third verses so I googled the lyrics. So glad I did! Not only am I blessed by this song but the song of the church universal and eternal rising up before the throne. Just when I was feeling discouraged by the overwhelming rise of false teaching and confusion that the enemy brings upon the world stronger each day, I see that God always keeps a remnant for Himself as a beacon of Truth and light. ❤️

I loved reading the comments and wanted to add to them. I, like several other texts, was led to this song by our Lord. Was praying and the song came to my mind! What a comfort! And reading how the Lord led some others to look up the words on this site as I felt He did me is such a blessing!

Oh what a Saviour

God lead me to this site this morning while after reading His Word.

The song draw me nearer came to my mind and I couldn't remember all the lyrics, so I Googled it and this site was first to pop up.

I want to be drawn nearer to God.

The comments touched me as I relate to other believers.

Did I mention, OH WHAT A SAVIOUR!
