A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
A wonderful Savior to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.
A wonderful Savior to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life in the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life in the depths of His love,
And covers me there with His hand,
And covers me there with His hand.

A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day.
He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day.

With numberless blessings each moment He crowns,
And, filled with His fulness divine,
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God,
For such a Redeemer as mine!
And, filled with His fulness divine,
I sing in my rapture, oh, glory to God,
For such a Redeemer as mine!

When clothed in His brightness, transported I rise
To meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love,
I’ll shout with the millions on high.
To meet Him in clouds of the sky,
His perfect salvation, His wonderful love,
I’ll shout with the millions on high.

Praise the Lord!!! What a wonderful Saviour we have. He hides us from troubles of life and covers us with His hands. He gives us strength and we shall not be afraid nor moved. Thanks for uploading this song and God bless you all. Shalom!!!

I find myself repeatedly drawn to this classic hymn of the faith. Thank you, Fanny Crosby, for this gift. Her love of our Lord Jesus Christ oozes through every note. He is worthy.

I really love and adore this special hymn of the church. This was the same hymn that the Senior Choir sang at Fisher Memorial United Holy Church, 420 E. Piedmont Ave., Durham, North Carolina over 35 years during the pastorate of the Late Bishop Andrew W. Lawson, Sr. "A Wonderful Is Jesus My Lord."

WOW. This song just came to my mind tonight before going to bed. I am familiar with the song but definitely didn't know the word's to all the beautiful verses. I will now learn them, research the writer, as mentioned in a previous comment (Fanny Crosby) and let's all share this song and its hope and conditional love of our HEAVENLY FATHER, Emmanuel, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Alpha & Omega, the Rose of Sharon, Jehovah Jireh, Jehovah Shalom, etc., etc. I am SSSSOOO thankful for the mercies, grace, forgiveness of Jesus! I can't wait to go to HEAVEN and meet Him face to face. No more crying, sickness, death and sin. 'Let not your hearts be troubled.....I go to prepare a place for you...and WILL come again!!!! I had been singing this song every day last week. I went to church on Sunday and this was the first hymn that was sung. I have often wondered how Fanny Crosby wrote such songs that touch so many souls, considering her disability. She is one of my favourite song writers. Her hymns has such depth. Thank you Fanny for your glorious hymns. I will certainly keep singing them.
