Christ the Lord is there enthroned;
As the man by God exalted,
With God’s glory He is crowned.
Died according to God’s plan,
Resurrected with a body,
And ascended as a man.
God with man was domiciled;
Man in Him in heav’n exalted,
Man with God is reconciled.
God in man is testified;
He as man with God is blended,
Man in God is glorified.
The inclusive Spirit came;
All of Jesus’ work and Person
Doth this Spirit here proclaim.
Is the Church identified;
By the Spirit of this Jesus
Are His members edified.
As the Lord of all enthroned;
This is Jesus Christ our Savior,
With God’s glory ever crowned!

Hallelujah! God wants that we be mingled with Him...
Sydney, NSW, Australia
This hymn is concerning the uttermost exaltation of Christ Jesus as God mingled with man and man glorified in God. When we approach this hymn and sing it, mere reverence and a worshipful heart is insufficient to match the strains of utter exultation here concerning Christ's transcendent exaltation and the transmission of His power to the church in identification with Him. When we sing this hymn, we quit our feelings, our limited apprehensions to praise this Christ who is so exultantly revealed. Here we find the poetic counterpart to Colossians concerning the all-inclusive and all-extensive Christ in ascension.
