Down from His glory

1
Down from His glory,
  Ever living story,
My God and Savior came,
  And Jesus was His name.
Born in a manger,
  To His own a stranger,
A Man of sorrows, tears and agony.

O how I love Him! How I adore Him!
My breath, my sunshine, my all in all!
The great Creator became my Savior,
And all God’s fulness dwelleth in Him.
2
What condescension,
  Bringing us redemption;
That in the dead of night,
Not one faint hope in sight,
God, gracious, tender,
  Laid aside His splendor,
Stooping to woo, to win, to save my soul.
3
Without reluctance,
  Flesh and blood His substance
He took the form of man,
  Revealed the hidden plan.
O glorious myst’ry,
  Sacrifice of Calv’ry,
And now I know Thou art the great “I AM.”

My Mother use to play this song on my grandmothers piano almost daily, and as I sat on the front porch with my little friend playing with our dolls, the sound of song and piano would flow outside to us and down the street. It is my all time favorite of moms songs played and sang.

At 55 now, I have just been brought back to it, and I am just as in love with it as I was at 4, but little did I know it’s great meaning until I became an adult.

Now, my Mother is not herself; with her memory loss, but still try’s so very hard to play the piano, and I will now try and learn this to play for her.

Thank God for Jesus!

God Bless !

This Hymn is very personal. Nothing but love will keep us in a proper relationship with the Lord (W. Nee). We need an ever deepening, loving, spitiual, personal and intimate relationship with the Lord. This is not just for us, it is for everyone we contact. As we open our hearts and exercise our spirit we recieve through singing such a marvelous Hymn the tender anionting Spirit. This wonderful anionting spirit must have an outlet. OH brothers and sisters LET HIM IN OH LET HIM FLOW OUT...... This is too enjoy the Great creator who became our Saviour and to Know the GREAT I AM
