What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
I have peace complete with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
I have peace complete with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

I was reading my devotion this morning from Streams in the desert, and it talked about trusting God. It said, “Trust sees and feels, and leans upon a person, a great, true, living heart of love. ”
And this song came to mind, “what have I to fear, what have I to dread, leaning on the everlasting arms. “
The Lord just touched my heart and surrounded me with his heart of love and everlasting arms. What a wonderful heavenly father we have, nearer than we realize.
I am leaning on JESUS
I have peace complete in my saviour. 🙏

I couldn't go through my family devotion without sharing the wordings of this hymn. It speaks so clearly to us knowing that we will fall or faint if we don't lean on The Everlasting Arms of our Lord Jesus. Lord, the flesh will fail us, but your Arms don't ever FAIL!

I believe leaning on the Lord is trusting Him. I think we need to see this. We need to lean on Him not on things of the world or our own strengh. With out Him we shall fall. When we lean on Him HE IS NEAR. What have we to fear? Jesus Christ is near!

This is one of my beloved hymns. I learned it a long time ago and it has remained etched in my spirit since then. The Holy Soirit brings it back often and in time if need. Yesterday I heard something that was alarming and could have brought fear to my heart. Instead, turned to the Lord in prayer releasing the fears. This morning I woke up with this hymn in my spirit and began to sing it. I remembered all the words. Praise the Lord. I knew the Lord was assuring me through this hymn that I was safe and secure from all alarms. For I was indeed leaning on his arms. The Lord is near🙏 Dear brothers and sisters, it’s so sweet to walk in this pilgrim’s way leaning on the everlasting arms of our blessed God and Lord Jesus Christ!!
