What a fellowship, what a joy divine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
What a blessedness, what a peace is mine,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning, leaning,
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.
Safe and secure from all alarms;
Leaning, leaning,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms.

O how sweet to walk in this pilgrim way,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
O how bright the path grows from day to day,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

What have I to dread, what have I to fear,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
I have peace complete with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!
I have peace complete with my Lord so near,
Leaning on the Everlasting Arms!

A truly lifting praise to our Lord. Nothing to dread, absolutely nothing to fear as long as I'm leaning on and entirely depending on the promises of the Almighty GOD.

I found out I had breast and lung cancer the Friday before Christmas of 2019. Breast cancer was a level one but lung cancer was a level three and needed treatment first. Finished chemo and radiation the Friday before Easter and waited four weeks to have a lumpectomy to remove the breast cancer. I was never sick during any of the treatments and never lost weight or my hair. Now it is October and I am in remission from lung cancer and breast cancer free. Plus we have had to deal with the COVID thru all these months. How have I coped? Leaning on the everlasting arms of God!
Thank you for posting this song ! Now I can listen each time I feel tired or sad.

I never once sang this song when I was in the world. Think of it. We're seated in heavenly places in Christ. Leaning on the everlasting arms.

While doing our family devotions this evening of 16th June 2020 this hymn made a different meaning that in the arms of Jesus we are safe, no other place is sure. There we are safe and secure from all alarms!!

Walking on my trail during the age of Corona virus, I sing the chorus of this beautiful hymn as a joyful reminder that we have a competent leader in Christ Jesus to handle this horrible pandemic of 2019-2920.
