Who is on the Lord’s side?
Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers,
Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side?
Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord’s side?
Who for Him will go?
Who will serve the King?
Who will be His helpers,
Other lives to bring?
Who will leave the world’s side?
Who will face the foe?
Who is on the Lord’s side?
Who for Him will go?
By Thy grand redemption,
By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord’s side;
Savior, we are Thine.
By Thy grace divine,
We are on the Lord’s side;
Savior, we are Thine.

Not for weight of glory,
Not for crown and palm,
Enter we the army,
Raise the warrior psalm;
But for love that claimeth
Lives for whom He died;
He whom Jesus nameth
Must be on His side.
Not for crown and palm,
Enter we the army,
Raise the warrior psalm;
But for love that claimeth
Lives for whom He died;
He whom Jesus nameth
Must be on His side.

Jesus, Thou hast bought us,
Not with gold or gem,
But with Thine own life-blood,
For Thy diadem;
With Thy blessing filling
Each who comes to Thee,
Thou hast made us willing,
Thou hast made us free.
Not with gold or gem,
But with Thine own life-blood,
For Thy diadem;
With Thy blessing filling
Each who comes to Thee,
Thou hast made us willing,
Thou hast made us free.

Fierce may be the conflict,
Strong may be the foe,
But the King’s own army
None can overthrow.
Round His standard ranging
Victory is secure,
For His truth unchanging
Makes the triumph sure.
Strong may be the foe,
But the King’s own army
None can overthrow.
Round His standard ranging
Victory is secure,
For His truth unchanging
Makes the triumph sure.

Chosen to be soldiers
In an alien land:
Chosen, called, and faithful,
For our Captain’s band;
In the service royal
Let us not grow cold;
Let us be right loyal,
Noble, true, and bold.

Chosen, called, and faithful,
For our Captain’s band;
In the service royal
Let us not grow cold;
Let us be right loyal,
Noble, true, and bold.

I am grateful to God who uses His ministers everywhere to minister to His people. During my state of hopelessness, this song renders me very hopeful. ššš

Oh my God this hymn is so beautiful, it reminds me to be on the Lord's side and also wherever there's doubt this song helps me overwhelm it all.
Am glad and proud that I first learnt it in my language Ateso.
PRAISE GOD ALL THE TIME # BE ON THE LORD'S SIDE.

I woke up with this song in my heart. I learned it in church as a child and it has been with me ever since.

Thank you Lord that you are mindful of me, giving me the grace to be at your side as a member of God's army and making me your battle Axe.
I woke up this morning with this song ringing in my heart. Learnt it from my childhood days about 50 years ago! Helps me to be grounded in GOD!

I find myself in the midst of politicking, canal, vain-glory-seeking Pastors who seek position and power in ministry, compromising standards, divine standards, for which Christ died. They oppress others who are not in their interest and party and I wonder what God would do about it.
I stand alone on the Lord's side and I have vowed to remain faithful to God and to speak against pastoral iniquities and injustices in pastoral ministry. It is this song that joins others to help me continue on the Lord's side in all of these.

I will always be on the Lord's side forever and ever. Amen

What a marvelous hymn of encouragement at this particular time in American history! I have known this hymn since I was a child, and now in my old age it really comes to the front of my mind in the midst of this contested election and this hinge moment of faith! An Appeal to Heaven!
