What a Friend we have in Jesus

My late father's favourite song, can't hold crying any time I listen to this hymn. It brings me more closer to my Creator. May the soul of my late father and the souls of the departed rest in peace. Amen....

I was recently working on my truck when the jack slipped out and the truck came down on me, crushing the life out of me. While this wasn’t the hymn I was singing while under there it has certainly been a favorite of mine. I’m thankful for the suffering our precious Savior went through and so now when we go through suffering also we know we will find a ‘solace there.’

My wife and I are getting ready to be admitted to the hospital for chemo and stem cell transplant. This is such a beautiful song. Yes. What a privilege to carry ALL our sins and trials and grives to Jesus!!! Thank You Jesus.

I am currently preparing for one of the toughest job in my country... every second day you feel like giving up. I am afraid if I don't make it and whether I'll be able to settle for a life less than what I have always desired haunts me! I lack courage and competence but this song gives gushing peace into my soul and reminds me of Jesus' promise and the plans He has for me... I pray to God to lift me out of this average mindset and to believe in the vision I have for my life.

Am at a crossroad, it feels there's no light at the end of this tunnel. My finances is really disturbing, this song came to my mind and there's s peace I have and feel within. Hallelujah!!!

I’ve been struggling with rejection from my friends and it has brought me to a lonely pit in my life. I trust that God is working through this and will create a better me through this. WHAT A FRIEND came to my heart and I wrote the words down so I can be reminded that the most important friend I can have is Jesus.

Just heard the history of the author’s life. Certainly puts some depth to the words, from a man that faced some real set backs without knowing the reason why but found the solace referred to in the lyrics!

It's 1:50am here in Nigeria. I woke up not able to sleep as I have some career decisions to make. The verse that came to my mind was, "are you weak and heavy laden" I reached for my phone to search for the whole song to read the words , meditate and pray with it.

Indeed God is good.
