If I'd know Christ's risen power.
I must ever love the Cross;
Life from death alone arises;
There's no gain except by loss.
If no death, no life,
If no death, no life;
Life from death alone arises;
If no death, no life.
2
If I'd have Christ formed within me,
I must breathe my final breath,
Live within the Cross's shadow,
Put my soul-life e'er to death.
If no death, no life,
If no death, no life;
Life from death alone arises;
If no death, no life.
3
If God thru th' Eternal Spirit
Nail me ever with the Lord;
Only then as death is working
Will His life thru me be poured.
If no death, no life,
If no death, no life;
Life from death alone arises;
If no death, no life.

I was sinning and doing great wickednesses for years but now I admit the truth.
JESUS THE HOLY SPIRIT YEHOVAH IS THE SUPREME LORD GOD!

Termination of the Natural life must occur for us to enter into and live out a resurrected life! This is a requirement to be an overcomer. Jesus is our example, Take His Way and don't look back..... See you in the New Jerusalem!
With Christ all things are possible, become Him in Life and Nature................
I Love you, Saints

Stanza 1:
If I'd know Christ's risen power,
I must ever love the Cross;
Phil 3:10 "To know Him and the power of His resurrection and the fellowship of His sufferings, being conformed to His death"
Phil 3:10 ft 2
The power of Christ’s resurrection is His resurrection life, which raised Him from the dead (Eph. 1:19-20)... To know, to experience, this power requires identification with Christ’s death and conformity to it. Death is the base of resurrection. To experience the power of Christ’s resurrection, we need to live a crucified life, as He did.

2nd Line in the 1st Stanza says - I must ever love the Cross;
If we know the power of resurrection, we will surely be delighted to be in the mold of the cross and to be conformed to it. (The High Peak of the Vision and the Reality of the Body of Christ, chapter 4)
The Chinese translation of the second line reads, “I must ever love the mold of the cross. ” The mold of the cross is an expression created by us, but actually it is not, because it is based on what Paul says concerning our being conformed to the death of Christ. The Lord's death on the cross is an accomplished fact. Paul, after receiving this revelation, saw the application of the fact and therefore wrote the truth of being conformed to Christ's death in Philippians 3:10. Later, many saints, such as Madame Guyon, one of the inner-life people, A. B. Simpson, and Mrs. Penn-Lewis, all saw this truth and experienced this fact. In these years, since we have seen something of the Lord and have received from the saints who were before us, we have found out that there is the need to have a new vocabulary to express the truths that we have seen. (The Governing and Controlling Vision in the Bible, Chapter 5, Section 2)
Phi 3:10 - ... being conformed to His death,
footnote - To take Christ’s death as the mold of one’s life. Paul lived a crucified life continually, a life under the cross, just as Christ did in His human living. Through such a life the resurrection power of Christ is experienced and expressed. The mold of Christ’s death refers to Christ’s experience of continually putting to death His human life that He might live by the life of God (John 6:57). Our life should be conformed to such a mold by our dying to our human life to live the divine life. Being conformed to the death of Christ is the condition for knowing and experiencing Him, the power of His resurrection, and the fellowship of His sufferings.

From the excerpts, I enjoyed that: "God's way of salvation is to terminate us by the cross of Christ and to resurrect us by His Spirit of life. This appears to be a cruel punishment, but actually it is a glorious deliverance. Based on the revelation of the whole Bible, we see clearly that living through dying is God's saving way." Oh, it is God's saving way! It is a glorious deliverance! I was refreshed that all our sufferings truly are for our own good (gaining more of Christ, fellowshipping more with Him, and gradually being conformed to His image). May we not misunderstand our God in His ways.

To live the God-man life, we need to receive the cross!

Lord Jesus, if we do not know the power of resurrection and do not live in resurrection, there is no way for us to die by ourselves! Lord, we must be full of the power of the Holy Spirit before we can receive the cross! Lord Jesus!

When I first heard and sang this hymn, I realized I have not experienced the resurrection life and power in its fullness because I am very much alive in my soul. "Life from death alone arises"..,that line makes so much meaning to me. Christ had to die to produce the Church, that life can reach man...Halelujah for death and life...Praise the Lord for Christ and the Church.

This is a beautiful song to praise God for DEATH through the CROSS. Why no words come up when I sing?
