How deeply gratifying to find this inspiring and marvelously uplifting hymn on-line.
Recently I have been trying to recall some of the words. HIGHER GROUND has been on my top list of favorites since childhood. Then at an early age at mid-week prayer services when sometimes the selection of a song was requested, I would suggest Higher Ground.
How very moving it has been to note the comments of other striving Christians
around the world; for we are "called to be saints" and we pray for one another; I am further reminded of the message in the song:
"When we all get to heaven, what a day of rejoicing it will be; when we all see Jesus we'll sing and shout the victory."

This is one of my favorite hymn, This song is definitely a prayer for me that God will lift me up and make me stand in spite of all troubles that I am passing through! Usually we sing this sitting in my church but as for me i'm the first one to jump up with my hands in the air. Praise God!!!!
