The Holy Spirit did the exact same thing for me, reminding me of this song when I was feeling particularly weak, and coming to 2025. Thank you Lord for lifting my gaze and spirit to look at You. You are my Overcoming Shepherd, and you remind me of the heavenly worship to come. Lift us up, Lord Jesus.

There's a strong connection I have with hymns and I'm yet to figure it out.
This hymns was sung today in my church and I reminisced a day just like this one about seven years ago. I was about to take on one of the toughest battles of my life, feeling low and unarmed. But this hymn renewed the strength in my veins and reassured me of the place of God's children.
And today again, I'm about to take on a very tough task but listening to this hymn has relieved me once again. Glory be to God.
