I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice

1
I am Thine, O Lord, I have heard Thy voice,
  And it told Thy love to me;
But I long to rise in the arms of faith,
  And be closer drawn to Thee.
  Draw me nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
  To the cross where Thou hast died;
Draw me nearer, nearer, nearer, blessed Lord,
    To Thy precious, bleeding side.
2
Consecrate me now to Thy service, Lord,
  By the pow'r of grace divine;
Let my soul look up with a steadfast hope,
  And my will be lost in Thine.
3
O the pure delight of a single hour
  That before Thy throne I spend,
When I kneel in prayer, and with Thee, my God,
  I commune as friend with friend!
4
There are depths of love that I yet may know
  Ere Thee face to face I see;
There are heights of joy that I yet may reach
  Ere I rest in peace with Thee.

My eyes are tearing right now, full of joy. I was woken up by the lyrics singing in my inner being. I have a worship in song Nazarene hymnal with that I brought with when coming for my studies. I opened it found the song. Brethren, I'm now filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. God is real, I don't care who says what. The joy of being in His presence are unexplainable.

I am blessed.

This hymn expresses concentration for me and fixes my focus, the joy oh the joy to come...

Your site is wonderful! This hymn takes me back to my childhood, growing up in a small town and attending the small church in which I accepted Christ as my Savior at a young age during a revival. That is a memory I will never forget. A friend of mine urged me to go down to the altar and after I was there, on my knees, I felt arms around me, and it was my earthly father, who was crying as I was, and he asked "Son, do you know what you are doing?" and I said yes. Though I strayed over the years, I have always known that God is with me, and that through the Holy Spirit He hears my pleas and prayers, and answers them in His Divine Will. Praise God, praise God!

At a prayer meeting and the song came and I googled it and began to sing. Tears of commitment began to well up in eyes. I felt the presence of the Father afresh.

In prayer and praise just now the words to this beautiful hymn sang through my spirit. I googled the words and began singing with the lyrics. My eyes fell below to the comments and tears began to fill my eyes as I saw person after person with the same experience as mine. Yes, Our God is alive in us and speaks to us if we listen! Praise God and the depths of His love that we cannot yet know!

Woke up this morning, July 18 with this song on my heart but can't remember the lyrics and my son advise that I Google it. Lo and behold the entire hymn is unfolded. The message is clear. I am thine by the mercies of God. How reassuring to know that I am going to see my God face to face. All doubts melted. He wants my consecration. I am assured of greater love and joy before I finally go home. The message is loaded. I am grateful to God for this site. Thank you so much.

I also woke with this song on my heart--on July 1st. I could only remember a few words of it from childhood, but looked up the lyrics. Lovely!

Woke with this in my spirit and the knowledge that my life is not my own. I may not understand the process, but I know I am Thine O Lord!!

This old hymnal just came upon my spirit. So I searched for it online. This will be a great site to use when I speak at church to play the music for a hymn. This was a blessing to find this site.
