Let me hide myself in Thee;
Let the water and the blood,
From Thy riven side which flowed,
Be of sin the double cure,
Save me from its guilt and power.
Can fulfill Thy law's demands;
Could my zeal no respite know,
Could my tears forever flow,
All could never sin erase,
Thou must save, and save by grace.
Simply to Thy cross I cling;
Naked, come to Thee for dress,
Helpless, look to Thee for grace:
Foul, I to the fountain fly,
Wash me, Savior, or I die.
When mine eyes shall close in death,
When I soar to worlds unknown,
See Thee on Thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
Let me hide myself in Thee.

Even me... as breath to live , may I live to breath, words of hope to those in need, for if to die is to gain, things must get better, as we read in His word, it is told in a letter. Starting to make sence, for He leads the blind to see, this is how He could love even me. He calls to Himself , those that He loves, He gave please through an olive branch and on wings of a dove. So tis true , yet not easy to say, no one has loved me on such a way, with may faults and my frailties how can it be, that Jesus takes time to love even me.

I have to say… when I first came into this world I was a small child, not knowing who or what to cling to. After hearing this song, I realize the absolute grace that my body has been blessed with. Every inch of my body, fingers to toes, gets goosebumps when this song is played. The numbers before stanzas give me an organization in my life that I have not yet received anywhere else. Thank you, hymnal.net.

I pray that God would continue to use these powerful words to extend His kingdom to all peoples over His Earth so that He may be glorified more. Praise the Lord on high!

Been going through some difficulties, stress, and loneliness lately. A friend was sharing with me some precious time she had with God last night and a picture he gave her of a wave hitting the rocks. She thought of Luke 8 when Jesus calms the storm. Her picture made me think of the quote from Charles Spurgeon “I’ve learned to kiss the wave that strikes me against the Rock of Ages. ”

Received a revelation to go on missions East African. Woke up to pray for more direction and this song kept coming. Am comforted. Mission field can be lonely, but I know my Rock of Ages is gone ahead of me now. Praise God

This song was impressed in my spirit and I search for it as I sang along with the chord, I understood clearly what the spirit was yearning for. the 2nd & 3rd stanzas really do resonate with me at this point. In this world of hopelessness without humanly help within reach, I (we) have no choice but to reach out to the Rock of ages, Who cannot be moved or destroyed for help in His grace. Hallelujah!!!!
