1
The law of the Lord is perfect,
Converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure,
Making wise the simple.
Converting the soul;
The testimony of the Lord is sure,
Making wise the simple.
More to be desired are they than gold.
Yea, than much fine gold:
Sweeter also than honey
And the honeycomb.
Yea, than much fine gold:
Sweeter also than honey
And the honeycomb.
2
The statutes of the Lord are right,
Rejoicing the heart:
The commandment of the Lord is pure,
Enlightening the eyes.
Rejoicing the heart:
The commandment of the Lord is pure,
Enlightening the eyes.
3
The fear of the Lord is clean,
Enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true
And righteous altogether.
Enduring forever;
The judgments of the Lord are true
And righteous altogether.

Let the words of my mouth
And the meditation of my heart,
Be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord,
My strength, and my redeemer.
And the meditation of my heart,
Be acceptable in Thy sight, O Lord,
My strength, and my redeemer.
Moreover by them is Thy servant warned:
Is Thy servant warned:
And in keeping of them there is
Great reward.
Is Thy servant warned:
And in keeping of them there is
Great reward.

This is, word for word, from Psalms 19, verses 7-11, with verse 10 being the chorus (King James Version). One of my favorites. You do not want to add to it, or take away from it -- pure scripture.
The chorus (here) has an duplicated phrase ("Is thy servant warned", which is not duplicated in scripture). Also, the first stanza listed in #4 is verse 14, which does not match the meter of the rest of the song, is out of place, and so is usually not included.
Here's a new verse, which can be used as the first verse, taken from Ps 19:1-4:
The heavens declare the glory of God, proclaiming his works.
Day after day they pour forth speech; displaying knowledge by night.
There is no speech or language where their voice is not heard.
Their voice goes out to the ends of the earth.

I knew this song a long time ago except for the Verse 4 with that ending part. Wish you had a way to hear it so I can see how it fits.
