This hymn is so inspiring... This night, my heart is swollen and in the middle of all night prayer, my pastor started singing this song, I now realise that God has given me victory. The quaking of heart is over forever in Jesus name.

The lyrics of this hymn are so inspiring, so is the tune. I especially love verse 3 where it says..."the arm of flesh will fail you"...this is absolutely true. If we stood up for Jesus though we may die, but we live eternal.

It never ceases to amaze me what God uses these old hymns to do in my life. This particular one I was singing in my sleep 2 days ago. I know that the Lord is assuring me of victory in the midst of foes. All I have to do is pick up my God given weapons and fight to enforce the victory already won for me by Christ Jesus. Glory be to His name! All my enemies are under my feet in Jesus name. Amen! Alleluia!
