1
Through all the changing scenes of life,
In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
In trouble and in joy,
The praises of my God shall still
My heart and tongue employ.
2
Oh, magnify the Lord with me,
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
With me exalt His name;
When in distress to Him I called,
He to my rescue came.
3
The hosts of God encamp around
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succor trust.
The dwellings of the just;
Deliverance He affords to all
Who on His succor trust.
4
Oh, make but trial of His love,
Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
Experience will decide
How blest they are, and only they,
Who in His truth confide.
5
Fear Him, ye saints, and you will then
Have nothing else to fear;
Make you His service your delight,
Your wants shall be His care.
Have nothing else to fear;
Make you His service your delight,
Your wants shall be His care.

I love this hymn because it is a reminder to us that no matter what problems we face in life we should still give thanks and praise to our God. He will never let us down. He is almighty and underneath His wings are the everlasting arms.

This song ministered to me in a difficult season in my life. It made me realise the power in classical hymns.
This is a song that comforts me and often reminds me that regardless of what is happening God is still in control. It is a good thing to remember that praises to God must never cease. Let everything that hath breath praise God.
