1
Be not dismayed whate’er betide,
  God will take care of you!
Beneath His wings of love abide,
  God will take care of you!

God will take care of you,
Through every day o’er all the way;
He will take care of you;
  God will take care of you!
2
Through days of toil when heart doth fail,
  God will take care of you!
When dangers fierce your path assail,
  God will take care of you!
3
All you may need He will provide,
  God will take care of you!
Trust Him, and you will be satisfied,
  God will take care of you!
4
Lonely and sad, from friends apart,
  God will take care of you!
He will give peace to your aching heart,
  God will take care of you!
5
No matter what may be the test,
  God will take care of you!
Lean, weary one, upon His breast,
  God will take care of you!

As I sit here reading God’s word and listening to this old familiar hymn, I am blessed by the sweet, strong message. I rejoice and am encouraged by the comments from all over the world. I am reminded that in this time of much unbelief, God has His people all over this world and I am grateful.

My dearly departed sister.. one of the golden leaves on the Tree of Humanity.. and I used to sing this hymn together

When we were in the Methodist Church choir in Victoria Park WA many years ago. My sister had a lovely soprano voice while I croaked along in the lower register.

For many years the third line of the first verse escaped my memory.

I am so pleased that I can now sing the full verse to myself.

Thank you.

Here a day latter than Monica but because of the Word for Today, too; a day late. Never knew that JC Penny was a Christian. I was saddened to think of how my native country is falling away from Christ. But seeing that the comments come from all over the world, made my heart rejoice. God is in control and all our suffering does diminish when I look forward to the hope of seeing our Saviour's glory in eternity. He is our rock upon which we can lean.

Blessed by reading these comments! Read some words from this hymn in UCB Word for Today today and had to look it up. Not contemporary but timeless! I needed to hear this simple truth, as I am recovering from cancer surgery and treatment. God will take care of us. Amen!

Praise God for this hymnal. Was in a hard place, God put this song in my heart in my language, which was translated from English. I then researched the net and found it here. The words were exactly what I needed and an answer to my prayers.
