He’s in the world today.
I know that He is living,
Whatever men may say.
I see His hand of mercy;
I hear His voice of cheer;
And just the time I need Him
He’s always near.
He walks with me and talks with me along life’s narrow way.
He lives, He lives, salvation to impart!
You ask me how I know He lives?
He lives within my heart.
I see His loving care,
And though my heart grows weary,
I never will despair;
I know that He is leading,
Through all the stormy blast;
The day of His appearing
Will come at last.
Lift up your voice and sing
Eternal hallelujahs
To Jesus Christ the King!
The Hope of all who seek Him,
The Help of all who find,
None other is so loving,
So good and kind.

This hymm goes so far back. We always sang it at the top of our lungs. I'm 55 and on this Easter morning this is what God put in my mind so I sang it proud and loud. God bless these hymns.

Mickey Gaines of Odessa, Texas - we surely would love to hear your status and perhaps your testimony? I am healed of metastatic cancer - given 2, maximum 4 weeks to live and it's been over 20 years! So God can show us new levels of living in Him and He in us! Also, if anyone knows more about the origins of this song, I would love to know more as I also report the origin of a hymn before we sing it and it makes it richer! May The Lord bless you today!

Praying for Mickey and Paige (Our Good God accepts retro prayer, time is no barrier for Him)
Woke up at 3am for no reason I know of, so I bowed down to pray. When I went back to lay down He flooded my mind with this old hymn. I love it and I love our Risen Savior, He Lives! Blessings Brothers and Sisters!

This song takes me back to my childhood growing in a very small town and attending a Methodist Church that used the Cokesbury Worhip Hymnal. My father had a beautiful baritone voice and did many solos and led the singing at the church and at revivals in the area. This song in particular touches my heart so much that I can hardly hear it without tears of joy in my heart!!

Love this song. I used to sing this as a kid at Sisters Church of Christ (Sisters, Oregon) and Pilot Butte Christian Church (Bend, OR).
I miss the old hymns. "Praise Music", i.e. the 2000s stuff, just is not the same. The hymns praised God and most of them taught Bible truths.

I love this hymn, growing up in a Baptist Church in the Caribbean, Guyana, me and Grandmother singing at the top of our lungs, lol still loves the feelings I get when I hear or sing this hymn.

I learned this beautiful hymn in Pioneers Girls, North Shore Baptist Church, and it still speaks to me today of the love and grace of the risen Savior!
