To God be the glory, great things He hath done

1
To God be the glory, great things He hath done,
So loved He the world that He gave us His Son,
Who yielded His life our redemption to win,
And opened the life-gate that all may go in.

Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
  Let the earth hear His voice;
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord,
  Let the people rejoice;
Oh, come to the Father, through Jesus the Son,
  And give Him the glory; great things He hath done.
2
Oh, perfect redemption, the purchase of blood,
To every believer the promise of God;
The vilest offender who truly believes,
That moment from Jesus a pardon receives.
3
Great things He hath taught us, great things He hath done,
And great our rejoicing through Jesus the Son;
But purer, and higher, and greater will be
Our wonder, our transport when Jesus we see.

To God be the glory from ages to ages. It is just after 3 a. m. and this song came to my heart after realising what my Father has just started in my life.

My life, all my life must give glory to Him alone. Amen

My husband and I just got off the phone after singing this hymn over the phone with our 87 year old Christian lady friend who lives in another province. We are all so grateful for the great things God has done in our lives. His love and forgiveness is so abundant. Great things He has done!

Heaven is just around the corner and we can’t wait. Bless you all.

I was reading about Saul's conversion and I was like God uses even the vilest offender to spread His Word. Then it crossed my mind these were words from a hymn, which brought me hear. I grew up on singing hymns and I love hymns and this was beautiful to sing along to the piano. God bless you

Glad to come before the Lord with great rejoicing this morning! Praising God for rapid recovery and release from hospital 48 hours after emergency surgery! We serve a miracle working God, so grateful He chose to give me more time to serve Him and my family. Hallelujah, GREAT THINGS HE HAS DONE INDEED!!! 😂❤️😊

Third, we may classify the hymns by the sentiment expressed in the hymns. This is the deepest and most important matter in choosing a hymn. The sentiment of a hymn is the tender feeling of that hymn. The more tender a hymn is, the deeper is its sentiment. Two hymns may have the same subject and be under the same subdivision, but there may be a difference between them in sentiment. For example, Hymns, #39 and #52 are both hymns on the worship of the Father, but they have very different sentiments. Hymns, #39 is a good hymn that is full of excitement. Singing this hymn may make us want to shout. In contrast, Hymns, #52 is a very tender and fine hymn, perhaps the most tender and fine hymn in the section on the worship of the Father. If we study and pray over this hymn, we will sense how deep and tender its feeling is.
