There is a place of quiet rest,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God.
Near to the heart of God,
A place where sin cannot molest,
Near to the heart of God.
O Jesus, blest Redeemer,
Sent from the heart of God,
Hold us, who wait before Thee,
Near to the heart of God.
Sent from the heart of God,
Hold us, who wait before Thee,
Near to the heart of God.

There is a place of comfort sweet,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where we our Savior meet,
Near to the heart of God.
Near to the heart of God,
A place where we our Savior meet,
Near to the heart of God.
3
There is a place of full release,
Near to the heart of God,
A place where all is joy and peace,
Near to the heart of God.
Near to the heart of God,
A place where all is joy and peace,
Near to the heart of God.

This song ministers has ministered to my heart for many years and brings sweet comfort to me when there was no one to talk to. It always brings great assurance to my soul of God’s nearness. I often hear this song playing, like I did today, in the background of my mind and I just start singing it. I know it’s the Lord drawing drawing me closer to his heart. I cherish these moments. The Holy Spirit brings to our remembrance just what we need at the moment. I’m glad and thank the Lord for the precious Holy Spirit and how he works to make the Father and Jesus real to us over and over again again. 🙏 The love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit. Praise be to God from whom all blessings flow; praise Father, Son, and Homy Ghost! 🙌🏼🙌🏼

As I was sitting on my chair thinking about how I would share my sister’s passing on facebook, I prayed and the Holy Spirit immediately placed this hymn on soul and heart to comfort me as well. ❤️ She sang for decades at funerals, weddings and other life’s events. God is so Good. Thank you for this website God bless you. 🙏

Th Holy Spirit placed this song in my heart when I woke up after 2 a. m this morning to pray along with a prayer vigil that was being held at my church. It's a song that I dearly love which brings me into the presence of our heavenly Father. I'm truly thankful to Hymnal. net for providing this service but most important of all I thank God for guiding me to discover your website which I'll be using from hereon in my devotionals and Lifegroup meetings. Of course, I'll share this wonderful resource with my family and friends. Good bless you all at Hymnal. net 🙏🏾🙌🏽🙏🏾

In the last couple of months (a time of deep stress and emotional pain) this song has been raised up in my heart by the Holy Spirit several times. It occurred again today as I drove in light snow with tears in my eyes. I couldn't remember all the words so was so happy to quickly find them here. The comfort sweet is such a blessing from our Heavenly Father. It appears that full release precedes having joy and peace. So we already have a promise of a blessing before we even fully release all of ourselves to Him. Thank you Lord!! May God bless each of you in a special way.

Woke up with this song in my spirit, could not remember the words. Thank you for being there to bring all the words back to mind! So rich and pure, so marvelous that there is a place in Christ to be near to the heart of God. To know that He will take us there and we can remain in that place and will find rest and security is glorious!

In lockdown... I ring up an old friend (who , pre corona I used to take out each week) We talked . He sang me this song. I looked it up here... next the two homes were singing this (to us) new hymn over the phone to each other (Regulations for corona stop us singing in church. ( .. in fact we don’t meet there, only on zoom) This song has brought peace in troubled times to two households today...
