Going through 1st John 5:11-12 This is that confidence(evidence) that God has given us Eternal life and this life is in His son. whoever has the son of God therefore has this life and him who does not possess the the son of God, does not have this life. ' I am now persuaded beyond doubt after discovering the above nuggets of truth that Jesus Christ paid all my debts and through Him I have been accepted back in God's family. I'm righteous because of Jesus, He is Lord, saviour and master to my soul..... This hymn sums all by helping my soul understand that having such a privilege from God, in my life, that great Enemy of my soul(the devil), once he comes to inculcate doubts in my soul so that I rebel against My God, the hymn gives me a profound way out.... this is my declaration to him(Devil) " I NEED NO OTHER ARGUMENT, I NEED NO OTHER PLEE, IT IS ENOUGH THAT JESUS DIED AND THAT HE DIED FOR ME. HALLELUJAH!!

I just came in from a fellowship where the minister sang it and I was catapulted into God's glory and love of Christ and I decided to have a full dose of the hymn and it was glorious.
