Amazing grace! how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
That saved a wretch; like me!
I once was lost, but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.

’Twas grace that taught my heart to fear,
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!
And grace my fears relieved;
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed!

The Lord hath promised good to me,
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.
His word my hope secures;
He will my shield and portion be
As long as life endures.

When we’ve been there ten thousand years,
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.
Bright shining as the sun,
We’ve no less days to sing God’s praise
Than when we first begun.

My favorite song of all time, love its simplicity and beauty. Jesus Lives!!! Amen.

This song was played on the bagpipes at my grandfather's funeral back in 1994 as his grandsons formed a guard of honour and walked beside him to his resting place and even now I still shead a tear.

The most beautiful hymn I've ever heard. Means so much to me and a lot of other people for a lot of reasons. It soothes your soul.

I will be singing Amazing Grace at my friend's funeral this Friday. I feel honored to be asked and I hope I hope I can do justice to this great, healing song.

I remember when I used to sing this song as a kid.
I've really lost track.
Have Mercy On Me LORD and Let Your Grace Be Sufficient For Me.
