My hope is built on nothing less

1
My hope is built on nothing less
Than Jesus Christ, my righteousness;
I dare not trust the sweetest frame,
But wholly lean on Jesus’ name.

On Christ, the solid Rock, I stand;
All other ground is sinking sand,
  All other ground is sinking sand.
2
When darkness veils His lovely face,
I rest on His unchanging grace;
In every high and stormy gale,
My anchor holds within the veil.
3
His oath, His covenant, His blood,
Support me in the whelming flood;
When all around my soul gives way,
He then is all my hope and stay.
4
When He shall come with trumpet sound,
Oh, may I then in Him be found;
In Him, my righteousness, alone,
Faultless to stand before the throne.

This hymn revives my spirit especially when it seems that hope is lost. Hallelujah.

Singing in the car on a road trip, knowing we are not the only ones, brings joy. Be strong, brothers and sisters in the Lord!

It's one of my favorite song. On Jesus Christ my anchor holds, not on device, man or situation. He's the bedrock on which my faith clings! 🙌

Thanks for this piece with piano and guitar tonic sol fas.

God bless you.

A hymn I sing always to remind me of where my anchor really holds. All other ground without exception is SINKING sand. Thank You Jesus for this hymn.
