Today we have the wonderful and great privilege of being able to own and read God's word, the bible. In it God tells us that ALL scripture is inspired by God (2 Timothy 3 verse 16).

But what is God's word?

The Bible comprises 39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament. Although ALL the bible is inspired, sometimes there are recordings of spoken words that were not from God - the classic example being the sayings of Job's comforters in the Old Testament book of Job.

But all the written content of the first manuscripts were. inspired by God, even though many of these first manuscripts have been lost, or extant. But all the first manuscripts were copied word for word until they arrived in the oldest known manuscripts we have today.

Another example is the devil tempting Eve in the garden of Eden, as recorded in Genesis chapter 3. Genesis 3 is completely true and inspired, but it must be pointed out the words of the serpent tempter were NOT fromGod but from the father of lies ( the serpent was a four legged beast before God told it to crawl on its belly on the ground). Because Eve then Adam fell to the devil's temptation, all their descendants, except the Lord Jesus Christ, inherited the sinful nature (Romans chapter 5), and resulted into the human history long tragedies and death (except the death of the Lord Jesus Christ) that has occurred ever since and will only end at the Second Coming of the Lord Jesus Christ who will return in power and great glory to create the new heavens another new earth.

Another example is the words of the devil when that creature spoke and tempted the Lord zJesus in the wilderness. The devil's words were NOT inspired, and they had absolutely no power over the Son God, who won the three pronged attack on Him by the devil. But the devil's words are recorded in the Bible as part of the true account of the temptation of the Lord Jesus in the wilderness.

What at all would we lack, if the one who loves us is the Amen called Christ Jesus?

This will surely Fill our lives with EVERYTHING we ever hope for, and we shall lack NOTHING.

O Lord, may you fill our lives with Wonder, Forevermore.

We just sang this song in the church today and the meaning blessed me beyond description. I was in tears to see how rebellious wretched me was saved through the LOVE of GOD delivered by our LORD and SAVIOUR, JESUS CHRIST (John 3:16, John 1:12). I m very grateful for the privilege of being called a child of God. Thank You Jesus.
