I’ve found a friend in Jesus, He’s everything to me,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;
The Apple-tree of trees, in Him alone I see
All I need to cleanse and make me fully whole.
In sorrow He’s my comfort, in trouble He’s my stay,
He tells me every care on Him to roll:
He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul;

He all my griefs has taken, and all my sorrows borne;
In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower;
I’ve all for Him forsaken, and all my idols torn
From my heart, and now He keeps me by His power.
Though all the world forsake me, and Satan tempt me sore,
Through Jesus I shall safely reach the goal:
He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
In temptation He’s my strong and mighty tower;

He’ll never, never leave me, nor yet forsake me here,
While I live by faith and do His blessed will;
A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,
With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face,
Where rivers of delight shall ever roll:
He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.
While I live by faith and do His blessed will;
A wall of fire about me, I’ve nothing now to fear,
With His manna He my hungry soul shall fill.
Then sweeping up to glory to see His blessed face,
Where rivers of delight shall ever roll:
He’s the Apple-tree of trees, the Bright and Morning Star,
He’s the fairest of ten thousand to my soul.

Praise the Lord, thank You Lord. I've found You. You're everything to me, and You are my fairest ten thousand to my soul. And all I need to cleanse me my fully whole and thank You Lord, in my sorrows You're my Comforter and You stayed in my troubles. Oh Lord Jesus, this song very enjoyable and I remembered this song when JESUS saved me and I baptised in 1972, CHURCH IN MAHAYAG, MINDANAO PHILLIPINES, at big river. Hallelujah amen. Amen amen.
Some of these words are not correct. Check the Pentecostal hymnal book; it is in there.

I agree, Joy, this hymn is uplifting. We've sang it in church a few times and each time there was clapping and exuberant singing.

I can always count on Hymnal.net for music to the most obscure of the hymns. This song has been requested by a dear faithful lady and I'm sure her's won't be the only soul rejoicing singing this old hymn! :)
This is my best song, I love it too much.

I gave this to my granddaughter as a gift, as I am her guardian angel. I am and always shall be the wind beneath her wings. May God's light shine upon her forever. Amen.
